'The three of us as a package - it works': James May hints he may be off with Clarkson

The show will go on, but with who?

Sky News / YouTube

TOP GEAR PRESENTER James May has hinted that he may leave the show after Jeremy Clarkson was let go by the BBC.

An investigation by the broadcaster found that Clarkson punched producer Oisin Tymon and verbally abused him.

As a result, it was announced today that his contract with the BBC won’t be renewed.

The BBC confirmed in their statement that Top Gear will go on without Clarkson, something director-general Tony Hall described as a big challenge.

Asked about his continued involvement with the show, May said that he “very much likes working with Jeremy” and that himself, Clarkson and Richard Hammond are “very much [a] package”:

“I’m sure Top Gear will continue in some way. It existed before us, it’s been reformatted several times,” he told reporters.

“I don’t want to talk about that too much but I think, we’re very much the three of us as a package; it works for very complicated reasons that a lot of people don’t fully understand. That will require a lot of careful thought.”

“As much as I think he’s a knob, I very much like working with Jeremy,” he added.

A number of names have already been suggested as possible replacements for Clarkson. BBC radio presenter and renowned car collector Chris Evans is one such name, with model and TV presenter Jodie Kidd also in the frame.

Kidd is the presenter of Channel 5′s Classic Car Show and has been a guest numerous times on Top Gear.

What attracted you two to the porn bit of the item above ? Did you miss the other bits? It’s easy to get offended by the news if you try hard enough.

    I’m not attracted to it.
I’m just using this as an opportunity to ask a question out here in the open.
    The question being.
Why does the mass media promote pornstars in areas of the net where children surf?

I’d prefer to see Enda Kenny running the country (which is what we pay him to do ) rather than learning to code! Time enough for that when he retires with his handsome pension! Of course then he’d have to pay for the lessons!
