A Dublin Airport spokesperson said they are not aware of any injuries on board either of the planes.

TWO RYANAIR AIRCRAFT clipped each other at Dublin airport this morning.

A spokesperson for the airport said the incident happened on a taxiway area. They said they were not aware of any injuries to passengers or crew on board either of the planes.

Emergency services attended as is standard procedure.

In a statement, the airline said the aircraft had been “taxiing slowly to the runway”.

“The winglet of one aircraft appears to have scraped the tail fin of the other. Both aircraft were under the instruction of Dublin Airport Air Traffic Control at the time.”

Customers were bussed and boarded two replacement aircraft, which departed to Edinburgh and Zadar. Ryanair apologised sincerely to customers for any inconvenience caused

There were slight delays for passengers on some other flights at the airport too. Some of them were taking it well:

There was in investigation in October last year after a similar incident in which two Ryanair planes clipped each other at the airport.

Good morning Monty. I’m off the oil. I’m pretty sure I got a dose of sunstroke this week. Headaches since Tuesday. Don’t get me wrong I’m still doing my thing as nothing is more important to me than a deep mahogany tan but I’m off the grease. Also I’d recommend plenty of water as I’ve been over estimating the hydration properties in montepulciano wine.

    Sincerely,
    Adebayo
