CORKONIAN BRENDAN Ó Sé is celebrating after being crowned the overall winner of an international mobile photography competition.
He scooped the top spot in the Mira Mobile Prize for the stunning photograph above, which was taken on his iPhone 6 in Copenhagen.
After announcing the news on Twitter, Ó Sé said he was “very happy and proud” of his achievement.
He took the photo in a public park in Norrebro last October. The snap was also a hit with Apple, who have been using it in an advertising campaign.

Where exactly is it, what are the lines about and was it post-processed much?
Hi Neil, as it says above in the article:

I gather from Twitter he uses Snapseed, and the photo is in black and white – the prize is for any photo taken and edited on a mobile device.

Jaysus, plenty of hard to please people on this article today. Aoife definitely does have the patience of a saint.
There are so many free photo processing apps out there that anybody with a bit of imagination and any smartphone can produce an equally good picture
Let’s see yours then Stephen? Really good photos are mostly about compelling composition that plays to our cognitive senses. Post processing has always been there, even in the days of only black and white film (eg. Burning and dodging), it’s gotten much easier yes, but really good photos involve much more.
