1. #TURKEY: The two Northern Irish women who were killed in Turkey on Thursday were murdered because one of them refused to allow a Turkish teenager marry her own teenage daughter. Marion Graham and Kathy Dinsmore, both from Co Down and both in their 50s, were killed on Thursday evening. Most of today’s papers report that Graham’s daughter Shannon was going out with a local boy, 17, who yesterday appeared in court in connection with the deaths.
2. #SWORDS: Gardaí in Swords are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man’s body at a house in the area last night. The man, thought to be 39, was discovered late last night by a relative. The scene remains sealed off pending a technical examination, and the office of the State Pathologist has been called.
3. #ELECTIONS: The family of the late Brian Lenihan will not be putting forward a candidate to contest the Dublin West by-election caused by the former minister’s death, the Irish Independent reports – potentially leaving Fianna Fáil without a single Dáil seat in the capital. Gay Mitchell, meanwhile, has said he hopes Fianna Fáil runs Brian Crowley in the presidential election – with the Irish Times saying Mitchell believes Crowley could bring out voters who will ultimately transfer to Fine Gael.
4. #CARE HOMES: The British company of care homes owned by a clutch of well-known Irish investors has agreed to close a third home in as many months. The Irish Examiner reports that a home for people with learning disabilities, based in the West Midlands, is to follow two others in shutting down, in the wake of a BBC documentary which revealed physical abuse at one of Castlebeck’s facilities.
5. #WHALE: There is no hope of survival for a 35ft whale which washed up on a beach in Waterford on Thursday – giving local animal lovers no choice but to wait for it to die. The Irish Whale and Dolphin Group told the Irish Independent that it would be impossible to euthanise an animal of the whale’s size – and suggests that the whale, which appears to be relatively thin, may have already been starving to death.
6. #LIBYA: Libya’s rebels are facing fierce resistance as they begin to close in on the capital, Tripoli, in their bid to oust Muammar Gaddafi from power. Thousands of migrant workers are being evacuated from the city as fighting approaches. The rebel cause has been bolstered by the defection of Abdessalam Jalloud, a former prime minister and second-in-command to Gaddafi, who has joined the rebel side.
7. #BIG APPLE: Not content with being the world’s most valuable company (a status it’s since lost again, by the way), Apple is breaking even more financial boundaries. Reuters reports that for a brief period yesterday, the electronics manufacturer was worth more than every bank in the Eurozone… combined.
8. #FRIENDLY: US vice-president Joe Biden’s bridge-building tour to China has hit an unlikely snag – when a mass brawl, involving dozens of people, broke out during a ‘friendly’ basketball game between college sides from the two countries
9. #EX FACTOR: Simon Cowell may not be among the judges when the X Factor returns to screens tonight, but he’s not planning on going very far away… ever. The pop impresario has told GQ magazine that he wants to have his body frozen when he dies, giving him the opportunity to be reanimated at some point in the future.

Get rid of page 3, I’d get rid of page 1,2,3,4,5,6…in fact the whole paper. It’s a rubbish paper with very little relevant news, might be ok for sport but that’s about it.
He can’t get rid of page 3 otherwise there’ll be a gap between page 2 and page 4.
Obviously there will be no page 4 now

Probably no chebbs either.
Although the sun is a rag, if he gets rid of page 3 no one will buy it, and it will go out of business( which is not a bad thing). I can’t see him doing it as he will lose money as a result.
He has this unprofitable attachment to newspapers; they don’t make much money anymore. Most of Newscorp’s revenue comes from their movies, channels, sports, cable, social media, etc.
As long as they dont get rid of Zoo or Nuts I dont care if they get rid of Page 3. Plenty of tits on Nuts and Zoo
