ONE MAN WANTS to see just how far An Post will go to deliver a piece of mail.
By sending the most weird and wonderful post and seeing if it will be delivered, David Curran is documenting his experiment on his Tumblr blog aptly called ‘Me Versus An Post’.
The challenge sees envelopes with the addresses written in the most obscure way being popped into a post box.
Will An Post deliver it? They’ve only failed on a few occasions.
You have to see it to understand the full extent of what is ensuing between one man and the postal service.

“This week I am annoying an post with addresses hidden using popup book mechanisms. Delivered the next morning. Which is quicker than normal post.”
The challenge escalates. This is good. A jigsaw puzzle address.
Did it make it?
“Delivered with a polite note explaining why they opened it. That is horribly impressive.”
What about a crossword puzzle?
Yes, the postman delivered the crossword puzzle one too!
So, where did the idea come from? Curran told TheJournal.ie said he saw this website on postal experiments and thought he would give it a go.
"I think it is amazing how people will try and figure this stuff out," he said.
Are there any that An Post has not managed to deliver?
Curran said the two below were no shows.
We think the postmen and postwomen of Ireland probably love the challenge.
"I hope they do," said Curran.
What next?
"I've made one from a sliding title puzzle but I'll give them a break for a while."

Kidd (IFESA) blowing his trumpet again with incorrect facts….
At least he’s trying to represent firefighter’s interests, unlike Jack O’connor and his SIPTU bed wetters.
Did he mention to many Chiefs and a National fire service, he mutters that in his sleep now. His “organistaion” is dying on its feet. Lots of lads agreed at the start it was needed but just another self serving lot without a voice were its needed.
Far from it Mick, these ad hoc station closures have been going on for over 18th months.So you are saying all stations in Co County Waterford are crewed to correct Manning levels?The retained FF in Tramore will tell you the facts when they are on stand by in your station in Waterford City of the amount of times they have had to cover Dunmore East.Secondly there are Brigade orders that clearly states that Retained crew are not to turn out after 00:00hrs before training course start date,the course runs from 08:00hrs > 18:00hrs for three days.Crew are always off call when on training courses away from station. Sure Dungarvan Station with 2 fire engines 1 rescue tender and 1 aerial platform currently only has 8 Fire Fighters when National agreement is for a crew of 15 Fire Fighters and officers.

Is John Kidd promoting rostering?! That idea won’t sit well with many retained firefighters countrywide.
Danny its in their contract that they operate that way.
In the context of Waterford County that is.
Would appear Mr Kidd got to the press before the IFESA vetting machine got hold of his statement.
My grannies old thatched cottage 1 mile from cappoquin burnt a couple of years ago a couple with 2 kids were living there. After 2 hours there was only bits of brickwork remaining. Amazing how quick fire can take hold.
Hmm… Pages 62 and 63 of KCS also recommend rostering and selective paging. I thought ye were against that particular document?!
