There are major delays to trains out of Dublin - and people aren't happy

Not the best time for a breakdown.

PROBLEMS WITH A freight train in Kildare are causing major delays for trains in and out of Heuston this evening.

In its latest update on the situation, issued at 5.30pm, Irish Rail said the problem train should be cleared within 20 minutes.

In the meantime, expect significant delays.

As you might imagine, the rail company is coming in for quite a bit of criticism as it responds to the problem…

And, while they’ll be doling out some teas and coffees to marooned passengers – there are no plans to let people raid the drinks trolley just yet…

You should be in Charlotte, North Carolina, due to fly home 8/7/2015 at 6.30pm to Dublin, now flying 10/7/2015 at 6.45pm to London and then onto Dublin on Saturday 11/7/2015 at 10.30am. Now that’s a delay. All due to adverse weather conditions. Unreal.

This is the sort of reply Irish Rail should have tweeted to annoyed passengers! You think that’s bad – at least you’re not in Charlotte, North Carolina!

Proves again how our tax euros are being wasted on public transport. One cant trust public transport to get one to where one needs to be. The car/bike wins again.
