THE BODY OF a man has been found in the Grand Canal in Dublin this morning.
Gardaí were alerted to the scene near the Charlemont Luas Stop in Rathmines just after 5am this morning. The body of a man believed to be in his 30s or 40s was retrieved from the canal by emergency services.
The scene this morning is preserved pending a full examination.
It is understood the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious but gardaí based at Pearse Street are investigating all circumstances.

You would need to have special qualities to face situations such as described here day after day of their working lives of these men and women I can only admire their dedication.

Unfortunately we have to share this world with numptys who have no appreciation or even a small amount of understanding of what front line emergency personnel do in their daily duties and bring home with them when their shift ends.
