A PRIEST WAS treated for minor injuries after he was attacked during a raid on St Peter’s Cathedral in the Divis area of Belfast yesterday.
Two main gained access to the building yesterday at around 9.30pm, according to police.
One man was armed with a suspected handgun – and the suspects made off with a sum of cash.
Detective Constable Pauline McCalmont, who is heading up the investigation, is appealing for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the vicinity of the cathedral between 9pm and 11pm last night to get in touch on the non-emergency number 101.

Also a catholic girl had her hip broken by an orange supporter in a car who seem to have target her for being a catholic and drove at her as well. Also one police man had his ear torn off and other police were attacked in Belfast. So why do they have these Orange parades when their real goal is sectarian violence?
Don’t think any linkage with OO on this one. Cathedral located near Divis area of Belfast – residents being tortured day in day out by the self proclaimed ‘Divis Hoods’ – young people from their own area that are completely out of control. Only have to google to see what they are doing to they own community.
