Kidnapped teenage girl found dead in Germany

A ransom for her safe return was set at over €1 million.

GERMAN POLICE INVESTIGATING the kidnapping of a teenage girl have confirmed her body has been found.

The girl, identified as Anneli-Marie R, went missing last week and a ransom note demanding €1.2 million ($1.32 million) emerged after her disappearance.

German broadcaster Deutsche Welle is reporting that her body was discovered last night near the city of Meissen, in eastern Germany. More than 1,200 people had been involved in the search.

Her father is a wealthy businessman.

Police told a press conference in Dresden they have arrested two suspects, aged 39 and 61.

Officials said there was no indication of a sexual assault, but noted the 39-year old suspect was allegedly connected to an earlier sexual offence, as well as arson and insurance fraud.

According to Deutsche Welle, preliminary reports show the girl was likely killed on Friday. She went missing last Thursday while out walking her dog.

No, why let them have the easy way out? If hanging them would bring the murdered girl back to life, I’d gladly open the trapdoor under them, but it won’t. Let them be locked away from society, having to live with their consciousness every single day, having to remember every waking second what they did.

Larissa, that’s nice and all, however why should the German state spend millions on keeping them alive? They are no value to this planet, why not exit them early?

Really Stephen? You think your level of worthlessness is on the same level as someone who murders a child for no good reason? Most would agree no doubt that the perpetrators of this crime should die in jail. I’m merely suggesting that it is pointless to do so. If society deems that crimes such as child murder deem a life sentence, we’ll why not save us the bother of housing them for 30-40 years and execute them?

No there’s something really repellent about execution that makes it almost worse than the original crime, that whole ‘I am legally sanctioned to murder you’ thing. I understand why you would want these disgusting people to die but it would be revengeful, and that’s not compatible with justice outiside the old testament

They would only have the easy way out if you don’t believe in life after death. As forgiving as God (or whatever higher power you believe in, providing you’re not atheist) is, they will have to answer for their crimes. Just because we don’t see their justice served here in this life doesn’t mean they won’t suffer. It is my belief that when our soul and body seperate in death, then our true consciousness kicks in, and our guilt is the making of our own hell. If you are a compassionate person with empathy, and you make mistakes in this life, isn’t the guilt of that far worse than anything? So it stands that when our soul is released from our body, then the realisation of what we have done unto others is what makes us go to hell, or purgatory depending on what we’ve done, and it is only when we’ve forgiven ourselves that we will be released. Think about when you’ve done something wrong to someone, and you know you’ve done something wrong, the last person to forgive you is usually yourself. I think some people are not for this world and beyond redemption, then they should be shown the exit door.

You believe in God and the soul and therefore these criminals should be killed. Have I got that right? I’m no great fan of such monsters but state sanctioned killing has no effect on crime rates. It serves a sense of revenge in us all. If it was my daughter I would want to go Rambo all over them. Understandable as my rage and lust for revenge would be, I hope I live in a state that would stop me. The US slippery slope of execution has been proven time and again to have sent or be sending innocent people to their death. Here, there is no question of innocence, but do we allow such people to triumph twice by making us a bit more barbaric than we were? You can fluff it up with God or deities and souls and stuff. Killing is killing no matter by whom. My heart goes out to her parents. Let us not allow these thugs to win twice.

My main question is there was a European wide amber alert sent out for the girl, most of the press did not release her age, and none of the press have released her surname just a capital R. The daughter of a wealthy businessman and only one photograph of her released and no description of what she was wearing! Might be premature I’m saying she may be a member of the infamous Rothschilds family? Poor young girl all the same its sad that there is so much secrecy surrounding her death it must have taken a lot of money and power to keep the identity of her family from the media

‘Money is the root of all evil’ is a bold statement.

Slapping ‘sometimes’ onto the end of it is ridiculous.

If the murderers are convicted, there are ways of ensuring that they receive appropriate retribution in prison. The official authorities should not act by that is not to say that certain encouragements may not be given so as to ensure that the perpetrators receive appropriate treatment.
