A YOUNG MAN has been arrested after an armed robbery in Kildalkey, Meath yesterday evening.
At around 5:45pm, two men armed with a hand gun and an iron bar went into the shop and threatened staff before leaving with cash.
It’s understood they were driven from the scene in a waiting car. No shots were fired and none of the staff were physically injured during the incident.
During a follow up operation, a 24-year-old man was arrested in Navan shortly after midnight and a car was seized.
The man is being held at Trim Garda Station. Gardaí say the investigation is ongoing.

My parents recently moved from here, lovely little village when they first moved over 10 yrs ago but over the years there ended up being many robberies in the area. Mam told me yesterday about it, it’s only a tiny little shop. Little sh*ts.
It’s still a lovely little village.
I hope the staff are ok , it’s a terrifying experience to go through .

It was crazy here last night, I think all the guards from Meath were there and the ‘copter was out too..the must have had him cornered across the road because thats where they ended up…
