Huge plumes of smoke billow from Dublin building as crews battle fire

Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade are working to bring the blaze under control.

THE DUBLIN FIRE BRIGADE is battling a major fire close to a derelict building in Carrickmines this afternoon.

The blaze is believed to be in an underground car park at a nearby building site.

Fire services said four units are working to bring it under control.

A spokesperson said firefighters from the Dun Laoghaire and Donnybrook stations were the first to arrive at the scene after emergency services were alerted at 2:40pm.
