APPLE HAS SOLD more than 13 million iPhone 6S and 6S Plus in its first three days.
The devices, which went on sale last Friday in eleven countries including the US and the UK, broke last year’s record of 10 million iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices sold in the opening weekend.
Apple CEO Tim Cook described the news as “phenomenal” and that sales had “[blown] past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history.”
Also, both the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will be released in Ireland (and 39 other countries) on 9 October. By the end of the year, it’s expected that both devices will be available in 130 countries.
The iPhone 6S and 6S Plus come with a number of upgrades including 3D Touch, which allows you to bring up extra options by pressing hard on the screen, and Live Photos, which captures footage before and after you’ve taken a photo.
It also comes with a 12-megapixel camera and can record 4K videos.

There is an inverse correlation between iPhone sales and human intelligence. This may be a victory for Apple, but it’s certainly not a victory for humanity.
You’re an idiot if you think there’s much of a difference. I use both, A samsung A3 for work (previously a galaxy S5 and a motorola) and an iPhone for personal. The android phone has some better features – most notably the fact that you can add extra storage, but for me the iphone software just edges the android, faster, smoother, simpler, less clicks required and less bugs. Again, there’s not too much of a difference.
What actually happens to phones which are traded in /returned to get the latest release? Are they resold in another market or recycled?

Look at the end of the day its all about the Share Holders, What apple have done with the Mobile Providers is packaged their phones into tidy deals not disimilar to PCP on a car.It keeps people in the brand and allows them to herald massive sales figures when a new device is out. Its in fact the mobile providers buying the units in advance of these lock in pcp style contracts where end uses pays a significant surplus on their data plan ‘just to own an iphone’
Its smart business and works out well for some customers. But ultimately its a numbers game for the share holders. There isnt actually people queuing in their thousands outside every store contrary to what Apples marketing team may have you believe

I’ve a Galaxy Note 3. Due for a change. The One Plus Two looks good but those stupid invites they use to buy means most will be waiting for months to get one. The new Moto X might be the one. I was an iPhone user from the first one to the 4S. I just prefer Android.
was in same position myself . broke my note 3 and managed to get an invite for the one plus 2 ordered 2 weeks still waiting . picked up a Vodafone smart ultra 6 to keep me going actually not a bad phone at all especially for €169 but will looking forward to the one plus 2 . like yourself I had all iPhones from the original to the 4s . all great phones that I liked when I had them I just felt after the 4 they were nothing new . and I just prefer android now . I’m not biased towards any particular brand I just look and decide when I’m changing what’s best . and at the moment iPhone just isn’t as good. it could be in future and if it is I may change
Yeah. I just like the Google experience on Android. I still like Apple products though like the iMac.
