GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after thousands of euro was stolen in an overnight robbery at the GAA club of Dublin stars Bernard and Alan Brogan.
St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh, on the Navan Road in Dublin, were celebrating capturing the Dubin Senior B Hurling championship at their clubhouse on Friday night.
However, sometime between 4am and 10.30am on Saturday morning, robbers broke through a back door, damaging a door and shutter. They then proceeded to take a large sum of money, believed to be in the thousands.
The Herald reports that the figure is €12,000. The paper adds that repairing the door and shutter will cost thousands.
Gardaí say that no arrests have been made and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who might have any information to contact Cabra Garda Station on 666 7400.

12 grand?? that’s a lot of cash to be knocking about a GAA club.
One cannot underestimate the level of celebrating done when one wins a championship. I’d imagine two days of heavy partying and it would very easily be 12 grand.
