Appeal for woman who left hospital after giving birth to baby boy

Police in the UK have said they are not pursuing any criminal charges against her.

POLICE IN THE UK are appealing for information about a woman who left hospital shortly after giving birth.

This happened in Brent, a borough in the north west of London.

Anna Chundy, 35, went into the hospital at 10.30pm on Wednesday evening.

Shortly before 4am the following morning she had given birth to a healthy baby boy by caesarean section.

At 10.30am yesterday, she left the hospital, leaving her newborn behind her.

Now a search is underway to located the woman and police in London have expressed concern for her well being.

It is believed that she left the hospital in the company of a man, with CCTV footage showing the two of them exiting the Accident and Emergency department of Northwick Park Hospital separately.

Anna is described as white with pale skin, bleached blonde hair that she had worn in a ponytail.

She is also said to have a medium build and to be 5 ft 4 in in height.

Speaking about the search, Detective Sergeant Adrian Smith from Brent CID, said, “This is a vulnerable woman who needs to be located as soon as possible so she can be reunited with her baby boy.

We are not looking to trace her with the intention of pursuing any criminal matters against her, our only concern is her safe return. It is of paramount importance that anyone who has any information about her whereabouts contacts us immediately.

    Much better than abandoning the baby on a roadside etc. that being said I really hope she is found and given whatever help she needs poor lady.

    This is pretty crazy and the poor baby!! I hope she is ok a csection is a massive operation and she should not have left the hospital the pain is insane plus it goes on for weeks on end. Wtf is wrong with some people you wonder is that even her name

    The man helping her leave should be charged with endangering another human, she has just had serious surgery, probably coming down from all the anaesthetic and painkillers, hormones all over the place and obviously not in the right state of mind. The last thing anyone should do if they wanted to help her is take her out of the hospital

    I do hope she is found and gets all the help she needs but i am glad she left the baby behind. Unlike another new mother not long ago who left hospital early and took her newborn daughter with her. Their bodies were found soon after :-(
