The Late Late Show is doing a country music special

It’s so popular already, country fans crashed a local radio station’s system trying to win tickets. Seriously.

GET YOUR CHAPS out because RTÉ has something very special in store for viewers of the Late Late Show tomorrow.

Fresh from his stint in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom, Daniel O’Donnell will join host Ryan Tubridy on a country music special.

O’Donnell will be giving his first major Irish television interview since he danced his way off the show and will treat viewers to a performance of one of his most popular tracks.

RTÉ said the show will celebrate the music which is”filling dance halls across the nation”.

Ireland’s king of country, Big Tom, will also make a rare appearance joined by The Mainliners as he performs his hit “Four Country Roads”.

To feed the appetites of recent country converts, Nathan Carter will be in for a chat and will obviously treat viewers to a rendition of ‘Wagon Wheel’.

RTÉ said the country music special has proved incredibly popular.

“It is one of the hottest tickets in town with the show inundated with requests for seats. Earlier this week, Midlands radio station Shannonside-Northern Sound ran a competition for two seats and the flood of entries crashed their system,” it said in a statement.

The special kicks off at 9.35pm tomorrow.
