A Christmas ad with a difference: Grandfather 'dies' to get his family to visit him

Grab some tissues.

CHRISTMAS ADS ARE known for pulling at our heartstrings, but a German supermarket chain has attempted to do this in a slightly different way.

After telling their father and grandfather they can’t visit him for Christmas, a family finds out that he has passed away.

Devastated, they return home for the funeral.

Let’s just say, they get quite a surprise when they arrive at his house.

You can watch the ad, for supermarket chain Edeka, below. You might need to have tissues nearby.

Sad for the staff but as usual they are often the last to know…speaking from experience!

‘liquidators intend on paying salaries up until the end of this month’

Yet the hospital is to stay open until in some form up until the 7/8/9 of Feb?

Confused by this situation, no guarantee that staff will be paid for working next week?
