RYANAIR HAS ANNOUNCED that it has become the first airline to fly 100 million passengers in one year.
Michael O’Leary’s company – famed for its economy travel – hit the benchmark after seeing 7.5 million passengers board flights in December, an increase of 1.5 million from the year before.
Speaking on RTÉ’s Morning Ireland earlier today, the company’s chief marketing officer Kenny Jacobs put the upswing in business down to the company’s focus on customer service over the past two years.
“I think it is a testament we’ve made to improving the service and that we’ve kept Europe’s fares absolutely down for all our customers,” said Jacobs.
We love listening to customers now, we love innovating what we do, and we see more people choosing us here in Ireland and in every single market across Europe.
In a statement the airline said that lower fares in December on the back on the Paris and Brussels terrorist attacks had resulted in greater customer numbers.
The airline also puts its success down to its high load factor throughout the year – a metric that measures how full each flight is.
Also announced today is that flights are set to start operating out of Belfast International. Routes had previously been operated through Belfast City Airport, but were ceased in 2010.
Travelers in Northern Ireland can now look forward to more convenient travel to London Gatwick, with a number of other routes expected to be announced later today.

If you look at how women are treated in the Middle East and Africa, and then start importing hundreds of thousands of men from these countries into a European country, and suddenly see a spike in the number of rapes happening, who do you think is more likely responsible? Funny how they decided to do this AFTER what happened on new year’s last year. If I didn’t know better, I would say they were doing this as a way to cover for the spikes in rape that have happened since opening their border, by pretending that the only reason there are more rapes being reported, is because of the new broader definition, which is exactly the same excuse Sweden’s rape apologists hide behind.

However the point I’m trying to make is that a broader definition of rape doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t also more rapes (under the old narrower definition) occurring at the same time. The two aren’t mutually exclusive. A country can see their number of rapes increase, and can then broaden their definition of what constitutes rape under their law, and then pretend that the broader definition is the sole reason for the increase rather than just more rapes occurring, when in truth, it’s a combination of the two.
And “spike” is probably the wrong word to use to describe Sweden’s situation, but it is considered to be the country with the highest rape rate in Europe, and from reading numerous news reports from Sweden about these incidents (such as the example I posted above about Somali rapists being reported as Swedes), it’s easy to see that just like in Germany, the true cause for the high rape rate in Sweden, is a combination of both the broader definition, and the simultaneous importation of large numbers of people from certain parts of the world where the views on women’s rights are more backward.

Trump never said there was a terrorist attack in Sweden. Even the snowflakes posting here must accept that. It didn’t stop thejournal publishing an article saying he “suggested” there was a terror attack. That Sweden is having major issues as a result of the migrant influx is beyond dispute at this stage, Trump may have easily been referring to the bigger picture of migrant crime in Sweden or a particular instance, there is a lot to choose from.
That the Swedes have tens of thousands of migrants clogging up their social welfare state and all the resulting sexual assaults, violent crimes etc etc. is their own problem, They made the policy change to become multicultural some years ago with the specific aim of letting in refugees from everywhere and anywhere.
