Six police officers injured in stolen car chase

Three PSNI vehicles were also damaged.

SIX POLICE OFFICERS were injured in Northern Ireland last night after their vehicles were rammed by a stolen car.

Four teenagers were detained after a PSNI helicopter helped police locate suspects connected to a creeper-style robbery in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim.

Police said they received a report of individuals acting suspiciously in the Lynda Meadows area shortly before 11.45pm.

Two suspects, aged 17 and 19, were arrested a short time later on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Shortly before 1.45am, while officers were conducting follow-up enquiries in Lynda Meadows, the stolen car rammed two police vehicles and made off from the area.

The car was followed to Belfast by on-the-ground officers and the PSNI helicopter before it rammed another police vehicle on Cullingtree Walk.

A total of three PSNI vehicles were damaged as a result of collisions with the car.

Two males, aged 15 and 16, who escaped on foot were arrested on suspicion of burglary and a number of motoring offences.

All four suspects remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries, the PSNI said.

And if it was here they wouldn’t be allowed be handcuffed,

on the off chance they were charged they would be released for a file to dpp,

if it does eventually get to court they will be told they suffer from adhd and come from a bad background leading to a suspended sentence and a don’t be a bold boy now finger wagging from the judge

All while the only person that profits is the solicitor getting free legal aid and no one gives a shit about the victim
