RARE ‘RAINBOW CLOUDS’ have been spotted across Ireland on this windy St. Brigid’s Day morning.
These nacreous clouds give off an array of pastel colours and are formed high up in the atmosphere, at heights of between 15km to 25km.
People have been sharing photos of the clouds in Dublin, Belfast as well as parts of Britain.
The colours are displayed by crystals formed at temperatures of around -85 degrees and are often associated with high winds in the atmosphere.
