BOTH BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN shows for this summer have sold out, promoters Aiken have confirmed.
82,000 tickets for the New Jersey singer’s initial date on Friday 27 May went on sale at 9am this morning, and quickly ran out.
A second date, for Sunday 29 May, was later announced.

Long queues formed outside Ticketmaster outlets around the country earlier – and online buyers reported long wait times to find out whether they had secured tickets.
A regular visitor to these shores, Springsteen’s last visit was in 2013 when he played in Cork, Limerick, Belfast and Kilkenny.
This was the scene outside St Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre this morning as fans queued for his latest shows…
“I go to all his gigs when he’s in town. I’m a huge fan,” one woman told us.

Ahead of the gig, public figures from all walks of life have been singing the Boss’s praises.
Bishop Denis Nulty referenced Springsteen as he blessed the engagement of a couple at the shrine of St Valentine on Tuesday.
“Bruce Springsteen sings All That Heaven Will Allow in his Tunnel of Love album – it describes the steps or stages in a couple’s life together,” said the bishop.
I recall very well his ‘Tunnel of Love’ concert in the RDS back in 1987. He returns to Croke Park on May 27th and will most likely perform that track once again.
Meanwhile, Taoiseach Enda Kenny belted out a bar of ‘Hungry Heart’ during a visit to Ocean FM yesterday, where he was presented with two ‘Bruce Springsteen tickets’ by a man wearing a Bruce Springsteen mask (you had to be there, we imagine).
Only three concerts can be held in Croke Park each year, due to strict Council guidelines.
It was recently announced that Beyoncé will hold a gig there in July.

I actually emailed the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission about that very issue not too long ago as I remember seeing U2 tickets immediately selling for 8 times face value 30 mind after selling out.
They informed me that Seatwave (TMs child company) has been reviewed several times and has been deemed “transparent”. They also made me aware that Seatwave is registered in the UK so it doesn’t fall under Irish consumer law jurisdiction.
I’m with you i think it’s a farce that Ticket master can sell on tickets racking up another few processing fees in the process. Seems like a vested interest to me…

Looks like Ticketmaster are already set to sell Sunday tickets – I saw it appear as an option very briefly while on their website last night. Must have been testing it out.

We’re not all grumps I l,I’ve just outside the area for discounted tickets etc Haney no problem with concerts , matches etc. Everything over and finished with by midnight most times and they bring work and money into town and especially local businesses.

I saw him in Cork a couple of years ago and it was great but a €100 ticket, travel to dublin, hiked hotel prices and a few pints all adds up. I’d rather a holiday for the same cost.
