A SILENT, NON-POLITICAL vigil is being held outside Government Buildings tonight following the death of Caoilte O’Broin – whose body was recovered from the river Liffey last month.
O’Broin had suffered from mental health problems for a number of years and his family say they told the HSE that the young man would kill himself.
The vigil, organised by friends and family of O’Broin, hopes to make changes in how people respond to the current problems in our Mental Health Service and stop families having no one to turn to.
Speaking ahead of the vigil Caoilte’s sister said tonight “our silence will represent those families who are denied a voice when seeking help for their loved one.”
