Skellig Michael is the very first shot of Star Wars: Episode VIII

Disney has released a teaser showing the first scene being wrapped.

THE OFFICIAL production announcement for Star Wars: Episode VIII is here.

Disney has released a teaser for the new movie, showing the first scene from the movie to be filmed.

And where does it take place? Good old Skellig Michael, of course.

It looks like the island will have a starring role in the next movie – despite ongoing controversy about the impact of filming on wildlife and archaeological sites.

We don’t know for sure if the shot of Luke Skywalker will open episode VIII, but it certainly appears to have been the first committed to film. And beginning the movie with a scene on Skellig Michael would dovetail nicely with the end of episode VII…

Here’s the full teaser:

Please let Ireland be next. It could change our little for the good. Taxes , jobs, and agriculture development. What else could u possibly want a plant that could flourish here

@Cork Cannabis Activist Network: thats just to smear cannabis by negative association. Ireland is like the North Korea of the Cannabis world and pedophilia is infinitely more acceptable here than weed.
I’m left to assume that ,at least in Ireland, outlawing it is far more profitable than legalizing it.

Love the way the thumbnail features tobacco as if the 2 are inseparable. In the US its uncommon to find people mixing tobacco and cannabis. People only do it here because its so expensive. Its as if the the medi think smoking cannabis is the same as smoking tobacco.which just shows how little they know ofvthe subject.
