The Pope was not impressed that someone nearly pulled him down

The Pope is on a visit to Mexico.

RT / YouTube

POPE FRANCIS WAS left unimpressed with a group of worshippers in Mexico this morning after almost being dragged down.

The Pontiff fell onto a child in a wheelchair after over-enthusiastic crowd members rushed forwards to greet him.

The Argentinian leader of the Catholic Church told crowd members “don’t be selfish” in Spanish.

The 79-year-old pontiff today wraps up an intense, five-day trip to Mexico with a visit to Ciudad Juarez, the world’s former murder capital, where he will pray with inmates at a prison and lead the service at the border.

After pressing Mexican politicians, religious leaders and society to fight for a nation without drug cartels, Francis will turn his attention to migrants, an issue dear to him, on his last day.

A huge stage was set near the border fence for a mass with more than 200,000 people. Francis is expected to salute people watching on the other side of the Rio Grande in El Paso, Texas. The service will be also broadcast on a giant screen at a 51,000-capacity stadium in the US city.

Republican White House hopeful Donald Trump, who has promised to make Mexico pay to build a wall along the border, called the Pope a “very political person.”

Yup Neill, this guy has better PR than anyone I’ve ever seen. Either that or people desperately want him to be good so they can continue uninterrupted in their faith and why not? I mean it’s just silly things like him condemning marriage equality or that the Vatican (and I’m pretty sure he’s the head of that place) told Bishops recently that they are not obliged to report pedophiles, nothing really in comparison to franky being normal though eh?

No mention of who’s responsible, the article doesn’t go far enough to explain the causes increase, but there is nothing wrong with the idea to abstain from activities that may increase the chances of getting infected and it spread..

@dni. Yes that’s how we’ll stop the spread of HIV and AIDS. Abstaining. The churches stance is widely publicized. : ” Francis also faced a question about the church’s teaching prohibiting use of artificial contraception from a journalist who asked if the church should consider changing its stance on the issue — particularly on the use of condoms — given the continuing spread of HIV/AIDS in Africa. The problem is actually pretty simple.  Africa is riddled with AIDS and the Church is still in there telling people condoms are sinful.  It’s a very simple question to which the Pope, even with insight from supposedly all-knowing god, has arrived at the wrong answer. – http://www.avert.org/professionals/hiv-around-world/sub-saharan-africa/overview

Stand up, proclaim that God allows condoms, reduce the levels of infection. Simples. We can both post links to support our arguements : http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/nov/30/pope-francis-condoms-aids-hiv-africa . For clarification, do you not believe the Pope should green light condoms in Africa, and if not, why ?
