Fianna Fáil are surging but Sinn Féin are slipping, a new poll says

Labour are down one point to 6%.

THE COUNTRY IS on course for a hung Dáil according to a new poll.

The Ipsos/MRBI poll is carried in today’s Irish Times and makes for good reading for Fianna Fáil, but shows a drop in support for Sinn Féin and Labour.

Fine Gael remains the most-supported party in the country on 28%.

Fianna Fáil has cut the gap on Enda Kenny’s party to five points, climbing two to 23%. For Sinn Féin, they are down four points to 15%, their lowest rating in an Irish Times poll for four years.

Labour are down one point to 6%.

Independents and others are up three points to 28%.

Over the weekend, polls delivered mixed messages for parties. The big talking points were the gains made by Fine Gael in both the Sunday Times and Sunday Business Post polls, the collapse of Labour in the Sunday Times poll and the gains made by Fianna Fáil in the Sunday Independent poll.

The 2.8% margin of error in today’s poll may mean that both the gain by Fianna Fáil and losses by Sinn Féin are not as serious as they appear.

It seems strange that the Russians are going out of their way to lay waste to the new republics that they’ve recognised, and making all the ethnic Russians homeless. Methinks Putin didn’t give a hoot about the ethnic Russians in the first place. He certainly is an overly large part of the body that excretes faecal matter, there’s no question.

He is an absolute beyond evil human being as are some of his shoulders the way they have treated civilians.
