Poll: Should Ireland ban the use of animals in circuses?

A youth group will hold a protest against these circuses this weekend.

A YOUTH GROUP will hold a protest on Saturday at the Spire in Dublin to protest against the use of animals in circuses.

The group, Not For Your Entertainment, says Ireland should not allow circuses to profit from animal cruelty. There has already been a ban on circuses featuring animal acts on council land, but they can still set up on private land.

So, we want to know: Should Ireland ban the use of animals in circuses?

Poll Results:

Yes (14927)
No (3290)

It goes without saying that All expenses must be vouched for. Who the heck thinks it is okay to give expenses to Councillors whether they used them or not. What idiot in the council could say it would be too difficult to administer giving half a million a year of Taxpayers money to Councillors just for the heck of it. Council Officials that said that should be thrown out.

Can Jobbridge people claim expenses on 188 euro per week plus the e50 which magically covers travel, lunch, domestic bills, parking and all the joys of working 40 hours a week for nothing?

No Chris so someone serving people should not have expenses paid for them.

Good on him. All councillors. Tds. Senators. Ministers. Tanaiste. Taoiseach need to do the same. Except for the councillors who are not well paid but most claim ridiculous expenses. Look up your counties and see the expenses claimed. The rest are all highly paid. But yet pay for nothing. How many jobs pay expenses for everything. Not many unless its a politician. Tax the life out of the people and stay lining there own pockets. Amazing how money can’t be found for some services but always found for the expenses.

This is why the banking Inquiry is unfolding this year to hammer FF back into the hole they dug themselves, and this is just another example of the “Quick let’s all pretend we are all saints” mentality to brainwash us all in forgetting the corruption, lies, abuse of Irish people by this party over the last 3.5 years.

I smell an early election, June or November perhaps. Pull the rug from under Lucinda & drop Labour in it. Force FF into coalition as a junior partner or go it as a minority government with aid from FF, Lucinda & Ross’s posse of conservative independents depending on what the vote is about.
