Someone is making cheaper more plastic crap than Samsung was bound to appeal to Android users…
It’s more to do with lack of variety and product launches that encourage people to buy just one model, one that most people can’t afford without a network subsidy
I do love Samung, but the constant release of different variants is annoying. They should just stick to 1 or 2 – budget, mini-highend , highend , phablet and tablets. At least then they can make them the best they can be and release regular unbuggy updates.
Not entirely surprised to hear this. The Galaxy S4 is shite. No radio, runs so hot it’ll burn your ears off and drain the battery in half an hour. Oh….and its best trick……can burst into flames if placed under your pillow whilst asleep! Great phone alright….if your a piramanic!
Is that a reference to the girl in America whose phone caught fire while she slept? Interestingly you forget to mention the cheap unofficial replacement battery that was in the phone at the time. But do carry on.
Bound to happen eventually. It’s getting harder to convince people who have a phone that does everything that the new phone does more. No wonder most phones being to fail at about what years.
thats it, planned kill dates, money spin and all the rest. even apples quality has dropped over the past 8 years, even larger mass manufacturing, quality control, cheaper components, cleverly designed on the outside, but certain things can often go wrong inside after 2-3 years. definitely not built like they used to be.
these retina laptops they have, what an awful tactic, you can’t upgrade them…. at all! so you’re forced to think about buying the most powerful one to get you through 6-8 years at most. begs the question then, is there really any point in offering low entry power on retina MacBooks? well of course there is, for them.
phone companies could add up to 10 features now if they wanted, but would rather make 1-2 tweaks every 3 years then try and sell it. as you said, people are no longer convinced by these games. i personally doubt the iphone6 will be as big a seller as 4s of 5s, its too big for a start, same with samsungs gargantuans. they might as well put phone connectivity into a mini ipad and be done with it but no… ain’t it the money spin.
Its rubbish to say that Apples quality has gone down. Wheres your evidence for this? I think it would be the opposite. Regardless to how you feel about Apple they never compromise over quality,
the evidence is, 11 machines since ’95, anything before 2002 never failed, i just sold on, everything since has had failures after 2-3 years, 4 if i’m lucky. logic boards, to graphic cards, laptops most problems. so yea i think i’ve had my experience but i still use them, not a hater, just stating the facts. i have since bought back a G4 and installed tiger to run old apps, a workhorse, parts are cheap too if i ever need but i doubt i’ll rarely need.
I know know loads of people with MacBooks and macs and they’ve never had an issue over the years. Apple machine are the most durable in the market. Wouldn’t touch a windows machine again.
Samsung spend way too much on marketing. They do too much of it and they do it wrong (apple bashing). For comparison, look at Apple who’s marketing spend is about a quarter of Samsung.

yea samsung compete too much and watch what others do, apple just get on with it, they’ve always had.

I’ve been a fan off all the Samsung range from the Tocco to S1 S2 S3 S4. Never got the S5 instead went with the Huawei P7. Unreal phone high specs and almost half the price of the S5.
I have the HTC one and I love it. The men I work with all have HTC one or one m8. The women all have iPhones
Why r people wasting more money on iphones just to have cool covers. All smartphones seem to be the same nowadays with apps available to all smartphones. Why waste money when there is way more important stuff to spend money on like basic necessities?

Maybe it’s because everyone has a smart phone now and they realise there is little or no difference between what they have and the latest new release. People aren’t falling for the marketing spin anymore and are satisfied with a good phone that serves them perfectly well.
Maybe its because every contract is 24 months if you want a good deal on smart phones. Its cheaper to go pay as u go than direct debit.
Sudden death syndrome on their s3, faulty battery on their s4 along with corrupt software update on the s4 and the absurd pricing on the s5 hasn’t helped but at least their 2 year warranty as opposed to apple’s outrageous 1 year has been a plus.
Just bought myself a new Fairphone and say goodbye to Apple. It does exactly the same as Apple and it was half the price. Going for a 30 day contract for service so no ties to anyone anymore.
