Android users, this is the quickest way to access your important WhatsApp chats

Better make some room on your home screen.

NOW THAT YOU have the ability to access WhatsApp on both your PC and web browser, you may be wondering if there are any other quick methods for accessing conversations.

If you’re on Android, the good news is you can and it’s something you would normally associate with web pages. You can add shortcuts for individual chats and place them on your homepage.

It’s handy if you frequently open the one group or individual chat and makes things that little bit more convenient.

The easiest way is to hold down on a conversation on WhatsApp and once it’s selected, tap options (the top right-hand corner) and simply choose Add Chat Shortcut from the list. Alternatively, you can go into a specific chat and go to Options > More > Add shortcut

Either way, you get a quick shortcut to that specific conversation through your home screen.

2Q== The option in chat list (left) and specific chats (right).

Alternatively, you can create a widget which presents some of the latest conversations for you to see. How many you see will depend on how large you make the widget on your home screen but remember it will be presented the same way as the chat screen (it will only display the beginning part of the latest message.

Whatsapp might not be that secure – John McAfee claims he was able to bypass the newly applied encryption on private Whatsapp messages. A Forbes journalist published the claim but the article was taken down within 28 minutes from Forbes website http://www.safetyonline.info/?p=1505. He also said to have discovered a serious design flaw within the Android operating system that allowed his team to access virtually everything happening within all Android devices. Makes you wonder if there’s any truth behind this???

@ Matt. You need to assume that every single interaction with the internet or mobile phone network is capable of being listened to or looked at. There is no such thing as 100% security.

McAfee is almost certainly certifiably insane, If the Forbes article exists it was more likely to have been removed because of McAfees absolute nonsense talk.

The same John McAffee that lied to everyone when he said he could have the San Bernardino iPhone, did tons of interviews and when push came to shove, he admitted he has no idea what he was talking about. The same McAffee that was suspected of drug manufacturing, murder, faking heart attacks, burning down his mansion and drink driving.
