Man released from custody after suspected hit-and-run which left woman in critical condition

The woman has been in a critical condition for over a week.

A MAN WHO was arrested after a woman was left in a critical condition after a potential hit and run in Clonsilla, Dublin last Sunday has been released.

The man, aged in his early 40s, was arrested yesterday after gardaí renewed their appeal for witnesses to come forward on Saturday.

He was held in Blanchardstown Garda Station before being released from custody this morning.

A file will now be prepared for the information of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The 35-year-old woman has been in a critical condition in hospital since the incident on Sunday 8 May.

She had travelled in a taxi from Harcourt Street to the Lohunda area before she was discovered.

Gardaí have been seeking to identify the driver of the taxi.

Ive just seen the report about the robbery at the AIB in Westend in Blanch ( minutes from Weavers Row ) where the thieves had to run away because the car failed to start. Lol, even the guards can figure this one out.
