GARETH HUTCH HAS been named as the latest victim of the Hutch-Kinahan feud, bringing to seven the number killed in the last nine months.
Here is a timeline of the bloodshed:
24 September, 2015: Gary Hutch, a nephew of Gerry “The Monk” Hutch, is shot dead at an apartment complex in Miraflores, Spain.
9 October, 2015: Gary’s brother Derek, known as “Del Boy”, survives an attack in Mountjoy Prison.
11 December, 2015: “Del Boy” survives another brutal attack.
31 December, 2015: Gerry Hutch leaves a Lanzarote pub minutes before masked gunmen burst in to kill him.
5 February, 2016: Kinahan cartel member David Byrne is shot and killed while attending a boxing weigh-in at the Regency Hotel in Dublin.
8 February, 2016: Eddie Hutch, brother of Gerry, is shot and killed at his flat in Dublin’s North Strand.
23 March, 2016: Noel Duggan, an associate of The Monk, is shot and killed in his car outside his home in Ratoath, county Meath.
14 April, 2016: Innocent father-of-three Martin O’Rourke is killed in a case of mistaken identity. The target is a Hutch gang member.
25 April, 2016: Michael Barr, a 34-year-old dissident republican, is shot three times at the Sunset House pub in Summerhill in Dublin. It is believed he organised logistics for the Regency Hotel shooting. He dies instantly.
21 May, 2016: Hutch associate Keith Murtagh is grazed by a bullet fired in the window of a house in Cherry Orchard, Dublin. He signs himself out of hospital and refuses to engage with gardaí.
24 May, 2016: Gareth Hutch is shot in broad daylight at the Avalon House flats in Dublin’s north inner city.

How can the Kinihan gang act in a capital city without fear. Where’s the surveillance?. Turncoats?. The guards need to get some FBI heads over to teach them how to police in gang warfare like this..Young Jimmy on a push bike with a uniform two sizes too big for him just isn’t going to cut it anymore.
Serial killers are so hard to catch because the victims are random, the locations are random and the timeline could be months and years apart. Here we all know the intended victims before they’re murdered. We know within a mile or two where they will be murdered. We know who’s ordering the hits and we know there will be another murder within the next few weeks. Yet our Police it seems are powerless to stop it. Only for a newspaper was staging a stakeout on the weigh in the Hutch’s would have gotten away with that as well.. There needs to be a serious overhaul of Policing in this Country…
It’s been all Kinahan for the past six months. Don’t think they’ll stop until Hutch’s crew are wiped out.

Cold hard evidence – impossible to come by for the men at the top of the tree.
Let them kill each other….. F $&K them, all they do is bring misery to the streets of ireland with the drugs and robberies.

I love the big shots around here who just say let them kill each other. This shooting happened in broad daylight in an urban area. I wouldn’t want a young child of mine witnessing this,let alone getting caught in any cross fire..The decent people who live in these areas have to put with this,so keep you’re Rambo comments to yourselves.
The innocent people in the area need to start cooperating with gardai to deal with crime. It’s the tolerance of small level criminal activity by the communities that cause these events to spiral.
I agree Cholly,but the Gardai need to be proactive. They have been anything but since. The North inner city is turning into a bloodbath.
How can they be proactive when city centre stations have lost 30% of they’re man power. They can only do so much with their hands tied
Well the other 70% are doing fck all apparently. Checkpoint my car or catch me doing a 55 in a 55mph zone. They need to train up,no point in me been caught in a nonsense speed zone while carnage is left go unscaled.
Ah the usual, caught speeding so now your anti garda. The checkpoints are trying to locate criminals. I don’t believe for second the gardai aren’t doing their jobs, every single day you read how Mr x has 100 previous convictions but gets suspended so the gardai are certainly doing their end of the job.
It’s just a pity Martin O’Rourke wasn’t a rugby player or a publican. Unfortunately he was poor and an addict. Otherwise the press and the politicians would be holding vigils for him.

It’s very one sided at the moment. If I was Hutch I’d be getting Proposition Joe involved at this juncture, see if he can’t find some amicable end to all of this.

For Kinihan and is crew this is much more than personal. This is business. With his associates and rivals on the continent watching. He has to either obliterate the Hutch Gang or appear weak an vunerable, and the latter would spell much bigger trouble for him.

Hutch -Kinahan feud should be encouraged so they can wipe each other out . I dont understand why the Gardai cant use the “proceedes of crime” https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proceeds_of_Crime_Act_1996 and break this crimanal gang up .

Ya think it will stop if these gangs r gone the old stock of criminal did not act this way, It seems like this younger generation of criminals have no fear and that’s what’s worrying for everybody not just in certain areas gone are the days when a straightener would sort out a feud but as says this new batch of modern criminals with no regard for life need to be tackled hard

I’m surprised there are still any Hutch’s or their associates around at this stage. You would think they would’ve got the hint. I would have been out of here the minute all this kicked off at the beginning of the year.
I normally wouldn’t say anything.. but after the way Dublin and the media there dubbed Limerick during the early 00′s.. isn’t Karma a wonderful thing! Shoot city? murdersberg?
I was always led to believe that Limerick was rough even in the early 1980s . Circa 1980 some chap was stabbed to death in the head with a srcew driver i was still at school and though it was shocking .
