7 of the best spots to get brunch in Dublin

For the morning that’s in it.

AH, LOVELY BRUNCH.

One of those millennial meals that would make our parents tut and tell us we have notions, it’s also one of the most enjoyable times of the week. A leisurely occasion, helped along by plenty of eggs and cocktails, a time to meet friends and chat about the week that has come before.

So where’s best to do it in Dublin’s fair city? Let’s take a look…

1. Brasserie Sixty6

Conveniently located in the heart of town, just a hop and skip up George’s Street from Dame Street. Brasserie Sixty6 has been a constant feature of the Dublin restaurant scene for many years now – you’re in safe and reliable hands here.

Menu highlight: Nothing says “weekend” like their poached eggs and lobster with broccoli on toasted brioche

2. Bibi’s

Bibi’s is tucked away in a sleepier redbrick part of Dublin 8, but it’s worth the little stroll out of the city centre for sure. Perfect for sitting outside and watching all the dog-walkers go by on their way to the canal.

Menu highlight: Try the Turkish eggs – the spiced butter is unreal

4. San Lorenzo’s

A hip and happening brunch spot, which recently underwent a renovation – so if you haven’t been in a while, it’s well worth poking your nose back in. They call it the Brunch of Champions for a reason, y’know.

Menu highlight: This is definitely the place to check out the dessert menu – and we don’t wanna pick just one. Pick a few and get a spoon to share

4. Dillinger’s

The big kahuna of the brunch scene. Well-known for their cocktails just as well as their food – their Bloody Mary (pictured below) features a quail’s egg, bacon, olive, and pickle. It’s a meal in a glass. Dillinger’s is in the heart of bustling Ranelagh, so there’s plenty to do and see afterwards too.

Menu highlight: Cocktails aside, try the nachos

5. Sister Sadie

A companion restaurant to the well-loved Brother Hubbard on Capel Street, Sister Sadie is just off South Richmond Street in the south side of the city.

Menu highlight: The home-baked beans will be a welcome treat for veggies in your group (and the carnivores can add some pan-fried chorizo)

6. Wuff

Nestled just beside the Red Line Luas tucked between Smithfield and Stoneybatter is where you’ll find Wuff. The perfect place for a full Irish fry-up with all the fancy trimmings.

Menu highlight: Baileys and Toblerone cheesecake – need we say any more?

7. The Winding Stair

Just a few stops down the tracks from Wuff and you’ll find The Winding Stair, with a stunning location peeking out onto the Ha’penny Bridge.

Menu highlight: Plenty here for fish-lovers between the seafood chowder, Killybegs tuna and Doran’s kippers
