Orlando gunman's 'gay lover' claims massacre was revenge against HIV-positive partner

The man, known only as Miguel, claims Mateen said he was going to make the Puerto Rican gay community ‘pay’.

A MAN WHO claims he was Orlando gunman Omar Mateen’s lover says he carried out the mass murder in revenge after finding out one of his partners was HIV-positive.

In an interview with Spanish-language television network Univision, the man – who was identified only as ‘Miguel’ – said Mateen was “100% gay” and bore a grudge against Latino men because he felt used by them.

“In my opinion he did it for revenge,” Miguel, who was heavily disguised for the interview, said.

Mateen shot dead 49 people at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Florida, on 12 June in America’s worst mass shooting.

Miguel said he and Mateen met on a gay dating website and met 15-20 times over the space of two months late last year.

Miguel said Mateen never revealed his name, saying only that he was 35 and married with a son. He said Mateen was “sweet and affectionate” and told him he had been forced into an arranged marriage.

“He adored Latinos, gay Latinos,” Miguel said. “But he felt rejected. He felt used by them. There were moments in the Pulse nightclub that made him feel really bad…

I believe this horrible, crazy thing he did – that was revenge.

Miguel said Mateen was especially upset after a sexual encounter with two Puerto Rican men – one of whom later revealed he was HIV-positive.

“He (Omar) was terrified that he was infected,” Miguel said.

When I asked him what he was going to do now his answer was: ‘I’m going to make them pay for what they did to me’.

The FBI confirmed to Univision it has met with Miguel.

It’s funny how Journal commenters just go on the attack when ever there’s a mention of climate change.
I’m assuming this kind of funding will help olive farmers in Spain where their crops were totally devastated last year, producing almost 50% less than usual.
Or maybe our own farmers who had a fodder crisis caused by weather events in 2012/2013 and needed to be bailed out by the taxpayer. These kinds of crises are predicted to become more and more common.
Or maybe logistics companies on the Rhine last summer who couldn’t move anything because the river ran almost completely dry in parts.
But yes it’s all a scam by Eamon Ryan so you’ll have to live in communist 15 minute cities.

    ‘through auctioning industrial emissions allowances’
Who do you think is going to pay for this? They are just copying the Greens playbook, more taxes or costs.
Still waiting for Eamon Ryan to tell us where the hundreds of thousands of Green jobs have been created in Ireland.

I hope the funds for developing countries actually start happening too, to the promised levels. Steps away from fossil fuels are starting in developed countries but developing countries like India, with a population that nearly 20% of the world, really need the funds as they are going to become more harmful to the climate as they copy our lifestyles when they become developed countries
