THE 41-YEAR-OLD MAN who was assaulted in Dublin city centre in the early hours of Monday morning has died.
The man, a taxi driver, was prounced dead at St James’s Hospital this afternoon having suffered serious injuries in the attack.
Gardaí yesterday released without charge a man who had been arrested in relation to the assault, which took place on Pearse Street at approximately 12.20am on Monday morning.
The attacker was a lone male, who left the scene and walked in the direction of Erne Street afterwards.
A number of papers named the driver as Moses Ayanwole from Clonsilla in Dublin.
Anyone with any information on the attack is asked to contact gardaí at Pearse Street station on 01-6669000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 11 or go to any garda station.

It’s been obvious that it’ll be Biden or Warren since about 3 months ago.
Despite his obvious flaws, I think Biden is the only candidate who can win back states like Michigan and Wisconsin from Trump.
