Police in Surrey investigating report child was dragged into van and kidnapped

However, despite the massive police operation, there has been no missing person report received in relation to a child.

POLICE IN SURREY in England have appealed for information after a report that a young boy was bundled into a van and taken yesterday.

The incident allegedly occurred in Redhill yesterday between 4.25pm and 4.40pm.

A member of the public reported seeing a boy taken away in a black Volkswagen van.

Police say a significant number of enquiries are ongoing including the recovery of CCTV from a wide area around the town and house to house enquiries.

However, despite the massive police operation, there has been no missing person report received in relation to a child.

Police say they are continuing to trace the van, an 02 registration.

They say they are confident that the bike found at the scene relates to “an unconnected individual” and does not connect to the boy concerned.

Superintendent Chris Edwards today moved to calm any fears locals may have.

“I want to reassure the community that police remain in the neighbourhood but at this stage we have no evidence of a child having come to harm. Reports of this nature involving children are extremely rare in Surrey but I hope our response reassures people how seriously we take them.

“Work will continue into the weekend but as a result of our enquiries so far, nothing has come to light that would indicate a child has come to harm.”

@Terry Fagan VO: It’s highly likely that their misinformation and outright lies were responsible for many avoidable deaths and severe illnesses due to COVID, but from reading the article I’m failing to see how their anti-science boIIoxology is definitively responsible for this ?

This has to seriously be the most st-upid ig-nor-ant and, without any factual evidence whasoever, comment ever. You are no better, actually you are worse, than the cohort you are trying to blame.Your ilk should not be allowed anywhere near a comment forum. It’s beyond embarrassing.

“ new infections spreading to Ireland” ? You’d want to fact check that! . Spreading and to suggests there are links but there aren’t any yet. All we know is cases have arisen in these countries. I read it could be catch-up cases.
