It’s good to hear some good news for a change. Hopefully the lad from Cork will be found safe and sound also.

Helen, have a heart and a show a bit of compassion for these young men’s families and friends. One of these young men is still missing in Cork tonight. The city is being searched by volunteers on this cold night hoping to find him. I pray that you or your family will never experience the trauma of a missing child, no matter how old they are.

Minute detail but I think the Cork chap is 19. And also they’ve apparently tracked his phone to where it was last used (its off now) and want everybody to check their gardens, bins, lane ways, more or less anywhere were the phone could be if you are living between Saint Fin Barre’s Cathedral, up to Barrack Street and down to Douglas Street. It was last used in the Dean Street area as far as I’m aware.

    Hopefully he’s found okay.

Are you serious? the Cork lad could be lying somewhere seriously hurt or God forbid dead!! Should they just call off the search because they don’t want to play the spoilt brats game anymore?

I am sorry if I offended anyone with my comment, I do wish the families of anyone missing all the best.
I do know from personnel experience that there are times teenagers disappear when they don’t get what they want, and my comment was projected from this experience.

Dumb comment. if your kid went missing for days on end is the reason really going to matter to you until they are found?

The fact that it mentions nothing but that the chap is alright tells me that he basically pissed off and didn’t tell anyone. His parents panicked and Garda time wasted. Idiot.

I apologise if ive completely misread this.

I genuinely, honestly hope that you are never in the position as either of these two families.

It’s a good ending regardless….imagine the torture they went through wondering & waiting….I’ll have to admit if it was my son I’d just be thrilled to have him back…..the anger would probably come after a few days & I’d want to kick his ass !! I think all teenagers go through selfish spells & none of us know the background situation that led him to do what he did….I’m sure he has learnt his lesson :-))
