Man dies in Belfast city after police use tear gas

The Police Ombudsman is investigating the incident.

A MAN HAS died in Northern Ireland after police used tear gas during an incident in Belfast.

In a statement, the Police Ombudsman said the man “became unwell during an incident involving police officers in Belfast City Centre this morning”.

The incident, during which police officers used CS spray against the man, is currently being investigated by the Police Ombudsman’s office. The office will release the man’s name in due course.

The Guardian reports police had been called to Great Victoria Street after an altercation between a man and taxi drivers.

    By the look of them I would guess the restaurant has tripled it’s turnover.
    Most are obese!!

    Jeez if the sales fell in 2009, I can only imagine what the sales are like now that Brian ‘bucket arse’ Cowen and the FF politburo is gone.
