A MAN HAS BEEN arrested in London following the discovery of a suspicious device on an underground Tube train yesterday.

London’s Met Police reportedly tasered the individual on a city street in north London in the early hours of this morning before arresting him.

Britain’s transport police were called to North Greenwich Underground Station yesterday morning following the discovery of the device.

A controlled explosion of the device was carried out some time later. The station was evacuated for several hours while the operation was carried out.

No one was injured during today’s arrest.

“Police discharged a taser during the arrest,” the police said in a statement. “No firearms were discharged.”

The 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of terrorism acts.
He has been taken to a London police station where he remains in custody.

The police said the object in question was under intensive investigation.

“Officers are keeping an open mind regarding any possible motive,” it added.

This man was so far up Joan Burton and The Labour Party’s hole he defended the disgusting, disgraceful cuts made by Labour in the previous government, at every opportunity. Cuts to the most vulnerable in society e.g. lone parents, pensioners, low income workers etc… who he supposedly represents. Good riddance I say.

Jack O’Connor supported every austerity measure that was introduced by the F/G. So called Labour government. The man was a disgrace to the Union movement.O’ Connor and union leadership failed to protect their members and society in general against the Thatcherite actions of the Blueshirts and so called Labour.

Jack, do not think about running as a Labour party candidate in the next G E, you will lose your deposit. The Irish labour party sold out its supporters in the 2011- 16 Government, with its unequal austerity programme, and their support for the Water charges was the last straw. They will never regain the trust of their once loyal supporters as long as Burton, Howlin, and the rest of the establishment and status quo backers in the party in the party remain in control.

@Powerabbey: The Labour party and FG agreed to crucify the weak and vulnerable in society while allowing the rich get richer, the vultures to pick off the state assets through Nama. The reason we were able (for now) to say good bye to the Troika was just luck, the negative interest rates, the printing of fiat money to buy government debt, the US and UK economies had good growth from 2010 and the weak Euro helped to sell our exports into our two major markets, that was the reality nothing to do with the austerity agenda of the FG/LB Coalition. You forgot to mention the 205 Billion National debt they put on the shoulders of this and future generations, costing 8 billion a year in interest payments, when the next crash comes which is likely in 2018 the shit will hit the fan and 2008 will look like a walk in the park in comparison. The World’s central Banks never fixed the underlying problems in the financial system after 2008 they just zeroed interest rates printed fiat money with no tangible assets to back it, there is more debt in the system now than in 2008, something has to give, zero interest rates and printing money is the road to ruin.
