Children's hospitals tell people to stay away due to "unprecedented demand"

Three hospitals in Dublin have issued the appeal.

THREE CHILDREN’S HOSPITALS in Dublin have appealed to families to bring their children to their family doctor before going to the Emergency Department this weekend, due to an unprecedented demand for services.

The Children’s Hospital Group – which includes Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin; the Children’s University Hospital, Temple Street and the National Children’s Hospital in Tallaght – said that hospitals were currently experiencing ”unprecedented demands” for patient admissions this week.

The group advised people to either attend an out-of-hours GP service or their family doctor instead of going to emergency departments.

It said that the demand was due to an increase in patients presenting with respiratory infections, particularly babies and young children.

The group apologised to people and said that it was working with “hospital management in the three hospitals to ensure that every effort is made to manage this situation”.

In November 2016 , at the time of the oral hearing the waiting list numbers for Children in 3 Dublin Hospitals are: Day case: # 2336 & Inpatient treatment: # 1773 so before its built its too small………

TODAY almost a year later that has risen to 4651 ( 12 November 2016) source: http://www.ntpf.ie/home/pdf//2016/10/nationalnumbers/in-patient/National01.pdf

@Jean Early: That’s shocking. Poor kids and families. The whole thIing is a mess. The two story building I work in ……a health care inpatient unit just over two years old. The opening of it was delayed for 6 months because of the length of the snag list …..new .lino was coming away from the walls and lifting on the floor. It all had to be replaced so 300.000 worth of new lino had to be taken up and put in a skip. Some of the on suites in the bedrooms the shower waste pipe was wrongly connected to the toilet and visa versus . The windows push out but not like ordinary windows but when they are pushed out there is no covering on the top so the rain pours in. Also they put the glass in the wrong way at the nurising station offices. idea was that you could see out and not see in but it was the other way round. The glass entrance doors were all put in ie back to front ..and had to be replaced with safety glass doors. All internal security doors had to be all replaced because they were not suitable ….thick enough…….what a mess ……they are renovating the 2nd floor now and downstairs plaster is falling off the wall there have been a few leaks and now some of the water is under the lino which means more lino. The crowd who originally got the tender were based in Ni.talk about c ow….. builders. Every week there is still a problem with the doors reverting to swiping or using a key to get through. The building of the new children’s hospital.on the chosen location is just another disaster waiting to happen. An Irish building firm is now carrying out the 2nd floor renovations…and repairing the mistakes that the other co left behind.
The original builders were a firm from NI.

Why did you ask a question and then answer it when you don’t know if the question is relevant or your answer correct? Strange.

.The parents of these children will one day wake up and find out that it’s Enda Kenny’s collusion with U. N. allowing them to poison our atmosphere spraying us with toxic chemicals that’s causing all this respiratory illness.this.Give our kids a chance.
