Waiting on the usual trolls to make the usual sad act comments. I’m not a fan of Tubs. But he did good here. And the Toy Show is the start of Christmas and should include all our children. Let’s be positive for once.

@Dave Connolly: its all about choice. Choosing to see the positive or negative of this. The kids in hotels who should be in proper homes will feel needed and loved and not forgotten, thats whats important. We can all find reasons to criticize, but damn right. Lets not.

@Dave Connolly: Whatever your opinion of him this is one role he excels at. I don’t think any of us want to see children on the streets or in temporary accommodation, especially at this time of year. If he includes and remembers them, great, where’s the harm? It’s just a pity our politicians couldn’t do the same.

@Dave Connolly: the thing is that you can see he loves having fun with the kids, and he knows how to treat them with respect. The toy show is the one thing on rte I actually care about, and I like the fact the fact that you can tell tubs has fun doing it. Gaybo was the same. Kenny on the other hand… ugh.

I’m not a fan of tubs, but I do like him for this one thing in particular. Rest of the time, I can Take or leave him.

In fairness he has a point. It is disgusting that any kid is homeless in a society as wealthy as ours. I do think that Tubridy needs to take a pay cut and that this move has an element of RTE propaganda about it. I think that the greater shame is the huge number of adults who will watch this show like kids and get all excited about ‘the magic of it all’. We are a sick society. This annual consumerist orgy is labelled as culture. It’s NOVEMBER! What exactly are people getting excited about? No wonder the environment is screwed with insanity like this. If we spent less on rubbish in November we could solve the homeless problem in no time.

@Dave Harris: sorry but although it doesn’t make you evil or perhaps even bad; yours, ours and Tubridy’s decadent spending and consumption are the causes of societal issues. Our greed is killing the planet. Our excessive consumption is also ensuring that some don’t have enough to make their lives comfortably.

What is it they say ….. “you can please some of the people some of the time but never all of the people, all of the time!” Nobody has the right to dictate what another should give to charity from ‘whatever‘ they might earn. For that matter nobody knows what donations Ryan or anyone else may or may not contribute to privately ….. because, it’s nobody’s business. The point being made is ….. if everyone in a position to help, gave a little it would make a considerable difference. As an entire nation there’s a necessity for us to join forces and all do our little bit. Personally speaking, I think Ryan and his team were terrific and a platform was given to highlight and give a voice to, so many areas of society who otherwise struggle to be heard. I have so many favourite parts of the Toy Show this year that I find it difficult to single out my most favourite. Congratulations to Ryan and all involved for what I believe was possibly the best Late Late Show Toy Show I’ve seen for many years. All the children performing were excellent and it’s really brilliant watching the excitement and enthusiasm in each and every one of them. I’ve no doubt there’s more than a few we got to see this year who are quite likely to pop up on our screens again sometime in the future. Such amazing talent – well done guys

We’re such a selfish self-centerd hypocritical nation of beings, everyone knows & agrees that something needs to change with regards children living out of temporary accommodation but just when are their voices going to be heard- give them every platform opportunity to have their voices heard, especially the Late Late Toy Show.
