Company that 'powers half of the world's busiest websites' is bringing 100 jobs to Cork

NGINX announced that it is expanding its services with a plan for rapid growth across EMEA.

A US TECHNOLOGY firm has announced that it plans to create 100 jobs in Cork over the next three years.

Internet software firm NGINX announced that it is expanding its services with a plan for rapid growth across EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa).

It will manage these operations from its newly-developed regional headquarters in Cork city centre, which is due to be completed next month.

As part of this expansion the company is to create 100 jobs in Cork over the next three years.

These will be in the areas of sales, marketing, finance, business development, software architecture, engineering, and research and development.

The company provides software to companies aimed at improving their website speeds.

According to the company, NGINX now powers more than half of the world’s busiest sites and applications.

It is supported here by Ireland’s Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

This is actually a fantastic story lads,

Cork, as a city would have a good talent pool for this area in particular, with a lot of network and software based firms in the area to pull from.

They pay top wages, wages you can actually live on, they hire grads, etc, so less will have to emigrate after college.

This is all good news, software firms like this are more interested in getting stuff done in the area than trying to cut down on it’s taxes.

More millions poured into an FDA with a zero tax rate…… And more jobs in three years time…… That will be announced and reannounced ad nauseum until the jobs finally half or vanish altogether……

Not a whole lot to be positive about Daniel , homelessness is on the increase, feck all jobs that don’t involve call centres or technology. An events centre that enda turned the sod for a year ago before the election that hasn’t even started. Our health service is a disgrace , people in pain and kids having seizures not allowed access simple medicine. The government are corrupt, the opposition seem to be backing them the guards are corrupt and our child protection agency is making false allegations. Those 100jobs are a drop in the water and won’t fix a thing.

Do you blame them, they’d have gone the same way as labour and the greens before them. I’m not saying they’re the solution either but they can’t be any worse. Fg are a poison chalice and ff are just leaving them build a bigger hole for themselves so when they do pull the plug fg will have no hope of a revival.

@Charlie Melia: Just thought it might interest you to know that the jobs have already been posted on the company’s website and through recruiters: https://www.nginx.com/jobs/ They are hiring right now, this instant.

So sick of people crapping on good news stories like this in a lame attempt to push their failed lefty agenda.
