Homemade bomb found in Limerick city late last night

The explosive was made safe by army bomb disposal experts.

ARMY EXPLOSIVE EXPERTS made safe a homemade bomb that was found in the centre of Limerick city early this morning.

The Defence Forces Bomb Disposal Team was called to the scene in the Henry Street Area of the city by gardaí at about 1.30am this morning after a suspected improvised explosive device was found.

The team carried out an assessment of the device and the scene was declared safe at 4am.

    Are homemade bombs more expensive that factory bombs? This could be a new export industry, artisan explosives and craft bombs.

    @Thomas Conneely:

    It’s also a big long street with dozens of businesses and hundreds of dwellings. Don’t be silly.
