Fun poll: Do you observe the 5-second rule when you drop food on the floor?

Your daily bite-sized ballot break.

GOOD NEWS FOR food lovers – scientists in the UK have confirmed that it is safe to eat food that has fallen on the floor using the ‘five-second’ rule.

Alright, if it is covered in muck, don’t eat it, said Professor Anthony Hilton of Aston University, but otherwise you are good to go from a germ perspective.

Safe in this knowledge, are you okay with eating food from the floor once it’s been there five seconds or less?

Poll Results:

Depends on the state of the floor (4748)
Yes, get in my belly (2927)
No, gross (1135)
