5 new cars you can drive away for under €250 a month on PCP

From city cars to crossovers to family favourites, we’ve got you covered.

THE GROWING POPULARITY of Personal Contract Purchase, or PCP, has made buying a new car more appealing – and, in some cases, more affordable.

Here, we present our pick of five new cars that can be yours for less than €250 per month.

As always with PCP, do make sure that you read all the fine print before committing to any deal. You can read our explainer on how typical PCP deals work here.

1. Audi A1 – €209 per month (link)

Audi Media Audi Media

Looking for something a little more upmarket but still small enough to nip around town? The Audi A1 comes in both three- and five-door models and despite its smaller size still carries the same high quality finish inside that you would expect from the brand with the four rings. New, more fuel-efficient engines add to this small car’s appeal.

2. Fiat 500X – €228 per month (link)

ALBERTO ALQUATI ALBERTO ALQUATI

Influenced by the cute Fiat city car, the Fiat 500X is a crossover that has real mass appeal. Its wide stance and roomy interior combined with strong exterior styling options make this one of the more interesting crossovers on the market today.

3. Peugeot 2008 – €191 per month (link)

Newspress Newspress

The Peugeot 2008 is one of the best small SUVs on the market today and can be packed with technology and features – including Peugeot’s clever front-wheel drive system that can provide similar mud and snow grip levels to more expensive all-wheel drive systems. There are a number of different trim levels to choose from, and on the road it drives particularly well with its new petrol engines.

4. Skoda Fabia – €149 per month (link)

Richard Pardon Richard Pardon

Small on the outside but big on the inside, the Skoda Fabia is a highly practical hatchback (or estate if you wish) that comes wrapped in a modern look. Bright colours and bigger wheels make it really stand out while the petrol engines would be our pick to drive.

5. Volkswagen Golf Highline – €249 per month (link)

fotoworkx.de fotoworkx.de

Very much a household name, the Volkswagen Golf has been with us for more than forty years. The latest seventh generation remains a hugely impressive car and one of the very best in the segment. You can choose from three or five-door models, or an estate, and the Golf comes with a variety of different engines to choose from – even an electric version.

We shouldn’t be glorifying drinking culture. Over 50,000 people in Ireland die each year from alcohol related illnesses. It’s a serious public health issue.

You may no longer be shocked but then again maybe I’m just the kind of sap who gets worried over 50,000 deaths?

i was in magaluf this summer, it definitely has a worse reputation than it deserves, I heard before going over that you would get a baitin off the english for being irish and there was just people having sex on the streets but that wasnt the case, saw 0 fights or any of that carry on, youd actually see more fights on your typical saturday night in limerick but everyone was just there to have a good time really, it is a mad place to be fair but not as bad as one would think

the average death rate here is roughly 6.5 per 1000. with a pop of roughly 4.5 million this gives a figure of roughly 30,000 deaths per annum. this is the total figure so alcohol deaths will be a smaller number. don’t get me wrong. we have a problem with alcohol but your figures are inaccurate
