A WOMAN WHO was injured in the terror attack on London has died.
The woman had been receiving medical treatment in hospital following the 22 March attack and life support was withdrawn last night.
Met Police say that while formal identification awaits, they believe the woman to be Andreea Cristea, a Romanian national, who had been visiting London.
A statement from Andreea’s family and her partner Andrei Burnaz said:
After fighting for her life for over two weeks, our beloved and irreplaceable Andreea – wonderful daughter, sister, partner, dedicated friend and the most unique and life loving person you can imagine – was cruelly and brutally ripped away from our lives in the most heartless and spiritless way.
She will always be remembered as our shining ray of light that will forever keep on shining in our hearts.
Andreea is now unfortunately not able to have part of the money that was raised for her recovery, so we would like to donate it to charity. She would not have it any other way.
There are no words to even begin to describe the crushing pain and emptiness that is left in our hearts.
They thanked the UK government, Met Police and medical personnel who had helped them and Andreea.
She becomes the sixth person to die after the attacks, which saw 52-year-old Khalid Masood drive a 4×4 into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge.
Masood left the vehicle and was shot by police, but not before fatally stabbing an unarmed policeman, Keith Palmer, who was guarding a gate.
