Enjoy the last day of this sunny spell - thundery downpours are on the way

The recent dry and fine weather is set to breakdown tomorrow.

TODAY IS THE last day of the recent spell of sunshine with showers expected to develop tomorrow and through the rest of the week.

There will be long spells of sunshine today with temperatures hitting 18 degrees.

However, Met Eireann says the recent dry and fine weather will gradually breakdown tomorrow.

Showers will develop during the day, especially in Munster and Leinster, but temperatures will still be high ranging from 15-19 degrees.

Friday will be cloudy with showers. Some showers will be thundery in nature but it will stay mild with temperatures between 13-17 degrees.

Saturday looks set to stay dry but with mist and low cloud, while some heavy and thundery downpours are expected on Sunday.

“FYI” is not an acronym. An acronym needs to made a word. “FYI” is an initialism.
