Two rainfall warnings in place for five counties

A status orange and yellow weather warning were issued yesterday and will stay in place until tomorrow morning.

THERE ARE TWO rainfall weather warnings in place this morning.

Met Éireann has issued a status orange warning for Cork and Kerry and a status yellow warning for Galway, Mayo and Sligo.

Both warnings were issued yesterday and kicked in from midnight. They will stay valid until 1am tomorrow.

Up to 70mm of rainfall is expected mainly along coastal areas and on hills and mountains in Cork and Kerry.

Meanwhile, up to 40mm of rainfall is expected with highest values along coastal areas and on hills in Galway, Mayo and Sligo.
