Four more men arrested in connection with 1987 rape and murder

Lorraine McCausland, a mother-of-one, was raped and killed in north Belfast 30 years ago.

POLICE IN NORTHERN Ireland have arrested four more men in connection with the rape and murder of a 23-year-old woman 30 years ago.

Lorraine McCausland, a mother-of-one, was raped and killed in north Belfast on 8 March 1987.

Detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch have arrested two men aged 54 and 56 in Belfast, and two men aged 53 and 59 in Antrim.

They are currently in custody at Musgrave Police Station.

Yesterday, police confirmed three other men had been arrested as part of the investigation – two men aged 49 and 56 in Scotland and a 53-year-old man in England.

Detective Inspector Michelle Griffin appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact detectives on the non-emergency number 101. Alternatively, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.

According to Republicans, the gays caused these storms. Therefore, it’ll be hard to persuade Reps to ‘believe’ in global warming, which, by the way, was kind enough to give us the wet, grey ‘summer’ we just had.

Who needs scientists, studies and facts, when we have the bible and genesis.

I’m sure Obama and Christie will be all over this new storm.
