    Here we go again ” When His Motorcycle Collided With A Car” which suggests blame.
    Should read ” when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car”
    Why are collisions constantly reported like this ?

    @David Conroy:

    Here we go again. The word ‘Collided’ does not apportion blame to either party, it is simply an accidental forceful strike between two or more parties. However, I appreciate that many people do not understand the definition of the word and incorrectly assume that the first party was at fault

    @David Conroy: .Not true. If biker on the main road collides with a car reversing out of a driveway that doesn’t mean the biker is at fault.

    @Shawn Rahoon: the rule is the driver (of any vehicle) should be going slow enough to stop in event of someone pulling out in front of them

    @Lynda Jones: That’s all great in theory, On any major road in free flowing traffic you cannot expect everybody to slow down to under 20kmh at every left or right turn or private enterence. When you’re passing a stopped bus do you slow down till your almost stopped?. It’s a legal requirement for those entering onto major road stop and yield to those already on it.

    @lez ferguson: I’ve noticed when cycling that irish drivers could bear in mind they should stop at the first line they meet, not the last, but a lot are oblivious to this fact

    @Malvolio32: Don’t even open that can, both sides have people that don’t know or care any better.

    I would say anyone reading or commenting on the comments are from neither of those thought camps.

    It is the council we should be annoyed at, forcing us to share road space clearly not well designed for sharing. Also being Irish has nothing to do with it…

    @lez ferguson: bikers need to cop themselves on and obey the rules of the road. How many people on here can say that while out driving there was a motorbike driving behind them for miles. Bikers are always overtaking and even at junctions think they have right of way to go onto the other side of the road to get to the front of the que. morons IMO.

    I drove a bike for years. Thankfully I was never injured. Cars don’t see you and I never forgot that driving. My heart would be in my mouth watching the moves some bikers pulled.

    Motorbikes are very dangerous and should be banned or at least just allowed on the track. They offer no support in a bad accident. It doesn’t matter who’s at fault. The human body was never designed to go on motorbikes.Please be this person makes a full recovery.

    People know the risks and the rushes.
    Maybe you should try it sometime might put a smile on your face. Banning things never works.

    @Rockhopper617: motor bikes should be banned !!!! What a stupid statement to make . Yes I agree they are dangerous. But when you see a motorist coming to a roundabout, while on the phone . You need to take a step back and open your eyes to the real world . Let’s ban all bad car drivers as well .

    I havent seen a motorcyclist yet on the phone in traffic texting, putting on make up, turning around to shout at kids at the back, juggling a breakfast roll and an americano, shaving, watching the game of thrones on ipad, taking a selfie, bending down while driving to find headphones on the floor….motorcyclist have a much better line of sight than anyone in a car and will very rarely make a mistake and cause an accident.
