A PUB KITCHEN closed following an outbreak of salmonella in north Dublin last month is among eight closure and prohibition orders issued by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) in May.
The kitchen of O’Dwyers Bar & Grill – also known as the Golf Links – on Strand Road in Portmarnock was served with a closure order on 19 May.
The kitchen is operated by Flanreil Food Services Ltd, which is the company that has been served with the closure order.
That outbreak led one of the country’s top health officials, Dr Kevin Kelleher, to warn people to take extra food safety precautions in the wake of the spread of the illness.
Seven closure orders have been detailed by the FSAI today, together with one prohibition order. The seven businesses are:
The sole prohibition order, which sees a business ordered not to sell a particular item or items of produce, was served on Dublin sushi outlet Kokoro at its Liffey Street branch.
That order related to bags of salmon mayonnaise, smoked salmon, salmon teriyaki, raw chicken, and raw beef being removed from sale.
Closure orders by the FSAI can be served under Irish (the FSAI act 1998) or European legislation.
The authority issues notice of closure orders served on a monthly basis, albeit without details of why the order was served.
62 such orders were served on restaurants and takeaways across the country in 2016.

Irish Air will take a lot of money to set up and the government will of course be willing to pay a premium for consultants and advisers / cronies and unfortunately it is the people who will foot the bill.
The government promise that Irish Air will never be privatized / sold to Dennis O’Brien so there will be no need to even have an expensive referendum on the matter which saves time and money.
Irish Air will eventually deliver a quality of air which we can all be proud of and will make us, not only the best small country in the world in which to do business but the envy of the entire western world.
So anyone who does not agree with Irish air is simply an ignorant irresponsible left wing terrorist with an expensive phone and a sinister fringe. They also by default support Sinn Fein who are mass murdering rapists and will wreck the economy if you vote for them. :-)

Individuals are responsible for their own place in the world. Circumstance and bad luck and temporary. Personally I have no one to blame as I have very little to be upset about. I made it my mission to get a better job and was determined to do so, while others were crying about employment prospects.
I think (I could be wrong) that we engaged about this about 2 years ago. I suggested that we should check in in a couple of years. I’ve since changed jobs and got promoted.

When You Tell An American that you get 1680 eurs (2000 usd) a year for having kids, most don’t believe you. Some ask how can there be poverty and some see it as an inevitable consequence.
Avoid the internet as you’ll get idiots who think of liberal economics in comic book terms. All is not bad with capitalism and this can be seen by the general influx of people to the USA.

5. Bill Gates has contributed more to AIDS research than every country in Africa combined. ..and multiplied by 10.
6. Tuberculosis has been eradicated in virtually every western country.
7. Average Life expectancy has gone up over 20 years in the 80 years.
8. Only half of Irish homes had indoor plumbing in 1956.
All these horrible things have happened during capitalism.
Fair enough on the facts. Some pretty interesting ones there. But capitalism still puts money ahead of all other factors. Why can’t our attitude be faced towards human interaction and dealing with the quality of life. The world can be run in a beneficial way where we are not destroying the planet through exploitation of natural resources that big businesses make money off. Countries invade countries for oil under guises that they are solidifying the peace, and it’s all in the name of money, and shipping it to the top. Why does someone deserve this amount of money? The idea of ‘ I earned this money myself ‘ cannot be used in an argument. Money is there throughout generations for a successful family and THESE are the people who are saying capitalism work. Try it out at the bottom where you are born into an environment where your attitude is moulded from a young age to take the wrong path in life, and tell them that capitalism works.
“Why does someone deserve this amount of money?” is an interesting question and one for philosophers greater than myself.
However what you should ask is “What kinds of countries or societies produce the greatest wealth across the greatest number of its inhabitants?” That is the reason why people row in home made rafts from Cuba, which is a shite hole to the USA.
As regards being born at the bottom, while I wasn’t born at the bottom, I was definitely born into what is euphemistically called “modest circumstances.” The reality is that everybody in Ireland from a council house to a mansion has tremendous opportunity. I feel sorry for the kids of negative people who make them feel like that haven’t a hope or those who pay too much attention to SF and the likes who try to convince them that some socialist utopia exists.
That’s why socialists hate thelikes of me…precise because I don’t come from privilege.
