GREATER MANCHESTER POLICE has released more images of the Manchester bomber Salman Abedi and his car in a bid to “try and jog people’s memories”.
Police have also released images of barrels that were stored in the white Nissan Micra.
GMP said it is particularly interested in the movement of the car on 14 April as they believe this “was a crucial date in the car being parked with bomb components in it”.
Police also said the search at a landfill is continuing for a blue suitcase, which they believe could contain “crucial evidence”. They expect the search “to go on for some time”.
Twenty two people died and dozens more were injured in the terror attack carried out at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester on 22 May.
‘Calculated and vicious attack’
In a statement, GMP said: “Our enquiries show that the assembly of the device is likely to have been by Abedi himself.
What is less clear is whether he acted alone in obtaining the materials for the device before he left the country on 15 April and whether others knew or were complicit in the storage of materials knowing what was being planned. Understanding this is crucial to our work in the coming weeks and months.
“Hashem Abedi, the brother of Salman Abedi, left the country at the same time as the attacker on 15 April. Hashem Abedi is currently detained in Libya, there is much media reporting about what he has said in Libya and we wish to interview him in relation to this attack.
“This was a premeditated, calculated and vicious attack. It was planned carefully and has caused devastation and heartbreak to so many. We have a massive team still working flat-out on it and there are critical lines of inquiry at home and abroad which we will relentlessly pursue.
“This is very much a live criminal investigation moving at considerable speed.”

Sounds familiar….Same old, same old story
I notice the british solicitor defending the Iraqi’s didn’t have any friends or family killed in the 7/7 bombings. Or and subsequent terrorist attacks.
Ye just a typical sleaze ball solicitor looking to make a quick buck.
Why should that make a difference in the professional world?
The 7/7 bombers where four British citizens, three of Pakistani origin and one of Jamaican origin while these prisoners, who where often arrested on flimsy evidence, are Iraqis, so I don’t see the connection.
And after all, if the UK didn’t do anything illegal, they should have nothing to fear, isn’t that the line they use to justify all the spying on their own people and their allies?
Exactly where did you notice that? I condemn all terrorist acts but there’s absolutely no excuse for torture.
