So now we have the U.S., Iraq, Iran, Syria, Israel, Egypt, hamas and the muslim brotherhood all sharing a common enemy in isis, who in turn is supported by Saudi Arabia, an ally of the U.S. and a by-proxy adherent to U.S. foriegn policy in the ME.
This is only a small part of the current very convoluted mess in the region. It goes back decades with the U.S. constantly backing different sides and factions.
They definitely aren’t to blame for everything there, but they definitely aren’t doing anything to try and fix it either.
